CFIA Healthy and Safe Food Regulatory Forum

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s (CFIA) Healthy and Safe Food Regulatory Forum is set to go on June 17 and 18, 2014. Although Forum attendance is at capacity, I wanted to take this opportunity to draw your attention to the following:

1. Due to the overwhelming interest this year, the Forum’s first day plenary session presenters will be broadcast live over the internet. The proceedings can be accessed at http://maxdigital.ca/FF2014-FA2014. To ensure you will not have any problems connecting to the live webcast, we highly recommend that you visit the following website as soon as possible so that we can address any issues prior to the event – http://maxdigital.ca/test.

2. Forum presentations and background documents are now available online at www.inspection.gc.ca/cfiaforum/documents, with a final few to be made available at the same spot over the next couple of days. We encourage you to take the time to review the documents at your convenience.

3. Although we recognize that there is a lot of information to process, be assured that there will be plenty of opportunity to provide feedback. The attached engagement overview document serves as a guide for the CFIA’s three consultation phases over the next seven months. Please submit your comments or questions to [email protected].

4. You can also follow and join the conversation on Twitter at #FoodForum2014.

Should you have any other questions, feel free to contact Patrick Byrne by email.
