CFIA Message: Open and Transparent Agency Framework and Policy

The final versions of the Open and Transparent Agency Framework and Policy are now available on the CFIA Transparency website. These documents, which were shared with CFIA employees and stakeholders during last year's consultation, have been revised to integrate relevant feedback received. All comments were considered and analyzed to improve the final documents.

The CFIA first launched its Transparency Agenda in 2011 as part of its ongoing efforts to become a more service-oriented, responsive and accountable organization. These two key documents will propel the Agency toward its objective to become open by design and chart the path for the next phase of the CFIA's Transparency Agenda.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this consultation. More information about what stakeholders said about increasing openness and transparency at the CFIA can be found in the external What We Learned Report.
