CFIA Permits and rotating disruptions in mail service

Due to the rotating service disruptions at Canada Post, the CFIA's Centre of Administration would like to remind clients that your permission will be sent to you by the method you used to submit it. Permissions sent by mail may be delayed.

Please use your My CFIA account to obtain your permits, licences and approvals. Not already getting your services online? Sign up at My CFIA.

We encourage clients to check that their My CFIA contact email or the email provided on their application form is correct.;

For food clients, the original certificate may be delayed in the mail. However, approved permissions in electronic or paper format are valid under the applicable CFIA regulations as soon as they are signed.

Businesses with food establishment registrations should check the expiry date of their permissions. Service requests to renew establishment registrations can be done online with My CFIA.
