Change to CBSA systems deployment date

The following is a message from CBSA.

This is to advise you that there is a change to the deployment date for system functionality associated with eManifest and the Advance Commercial Information (ACI) program.

This deployment package includes functionality to allow freight forwarders in all modes of transportation to transmit advance house bill data on consolidated freight, a new Manifest Forward feature for house bill data, as well as functionality for air and marine carriers to transmit a Conveyance Arrival Certification Message (CACM) and associated notification transactions under the ACI program.

To resolve issues identified with the Manifest Forward feature during internal testing and to ensure the best possible functionality for all stakeholders, the CBSA is postponing the April 28, 2013 system deployment.  As soon as the new deployment date is confirmed, the CBSA will inform impacted stakeholders by communiqué.

The testing environment will continue to be available for air and marine clients who have registered, or have yet to register, for the CACM process to ensure clients’ readiness once systems are deployed.

Thank you for your patience in this matter.  If you have questions on eManifest functionality for freight forwarders, and air and marine conveyance arrivals, please contact the eManifest Help Desk at [email protected]
