Customs Notice 23-18: Highway Sufferance Warehouse Closure (Montreal (0395), Quebec)

1. The purpose of this notice is to advise that:

  1. effective April 25th 2023 the company located at 6600 Chemin Saint-François, Montreal, Quebec has surrendered their "BW" type highway sufferance warehouse licence.
  2. the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is advertising for a new highway sufferance warehouse in this area.

2. As such, effective April 25th 2023 all bonded highway carriers transporting commercial freight for clearance at Montreal (0395), Quebec, port of entry will have to declare at another highway sufferance warehouse.

Avis de douanes 23-18 : Fermeture d'entrepôt d'attente routier (Montréal 0395, Québec)

1. L'objectif de cet avis est de vous informer :

  1. qu'à partir du 25 avril 2023, l'entrepôt d'attente situé au 6600 Chemin Saint-François, Montréal, Québec, abandonnera a abandonné son agrément pour l'exploitation d'un entrepôt d'attente routier de catégorie « BW » ;
  2. que l'Agence des services frontaliers du Canada (ASFC) du Canada a pris la décision de ne pas procéder à un appel d'offres pour un nouvel entrepôt d'attente routier à ce point d'entrée.

2. Par conséquent, veuillez noter que qu'à partir du 25 avril 2023, tous les transporteurs routiers cautionnés transportant du fret commercial pour dédouanement à Montréal 0395, Québec devront effectuer leur déclaration à un autre entrepôt d'attente routier aux fins de mainlevée.
