Declaring Canadian Food Inspection Agency regulated goods as ‘Canadian Goods Returning’

This is to inform commercial importers and customs brokers of new guidance that has recently been made available on the CFIA website.

After speaking to industry, the Agency has published the following webpage:

The new webpage outlines what must be included on an import declaration for CFIA regulated goods returning to Canada. For questions related to declaring CFIA regulated goods, please call the CFIA's National Import Service Centre at 1-800-835-4486 (Mississauga) or 1-877-493-0468 (Montreal).

Moving forward, the CFIA will be working towards publishing more content on the Agency webpage that focuses on helping commercial importers and customs brokers declare CFIA regulated imports to the CBSA.
