Exciting News about the Certified Trade Compliance Specialist (CTCS) Program

As people across the country are thinking about “back to school” time, we have some very exciting developments in the area of CSCB education and professional development. Our Certified Trade Compliance Specialist (CTCS) program has moved to a new platform, Brightspace, which opens up so many possibilities for our students, and for us. You may have already heard about the great learning that Brightspace offers students in our other courses.

If you are a CTCS student, you will benefit from a more interactive learning experience designed to meet the diverse requirements of adult learners in general and especially the requirements of our community. We are confident you will find every CTCS module easy to use, accessible, informative and useful.

All of our modules have a series of self-checks that enable the student to monitor their progress and check their learning against the core competencies of the module. Students have asked for more flexibility with the final exams, and we’ve heard you! Exams can now be written at the best time for a student, whenever that may be, 24/7 365 days a year.

We have also introduced two new modules, a redesigned Transportation and Export Controls module and a completely new Special Import Measures Act (SIMA) module. As a reminder, all of our modules are available as independent courses for anyone who has an interest in any particular topic we offer. If you decide in the future that you would like to apply these courses as part of the CTCS designation program, please contact us for further details.

Even with all of these changes, students can still be confident that the accuracy and timeliness of the course material remains of the highest standard. Student success is important to us at the CSCB, and we remain committed to yours.
