Food Safety Regulatory Modernization - Web Consultation

New and important legislation — the Safe Food for Canadians Act — has been passed. Now, the CFIA must review all existing regulations in order to bring the Act into force.

CFIA is making progress on a number of key initiatives that will enable the Act to come into force, including inspection, regulatory and labelling modernization as well as proposed imported food sector product regulations.

All of these initiatives are interrelated and complementary. To be successful, they require your engagement and feedback.

The CFIA is hosting webinars on August 14 (English-only) and August 15 (French-only) to present how new legislative, regulatory and inspection approaches will deliver better food safety outcomes for Canadians.

You must register to take part. Registration deadline is August 9, 2013.
