Government of Canada: New initiatives and innovations benefit small businesses

The following is excerpted from a 27 August 2012 news release by Canada Revenue Agency.

The Honourable Gail Shea, Minister of National Revenue, accompanied by Tom Lukiwski, Member of Parliament for Regina – Lumsden – Lake Centre, today met with members of the local business community to discuss a number of initiatives the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has introduced to reduce the burden placed on small businesses.

“Our Government is always looking for ways to better support Canadian small businesses in creating jobs, growth and long-term prosperity. The CRA will continue to provide businesses with better tools to help them understand tax information,” said Minister Shea. “Entrepreneurs across the country can benefit from the wide range of online services and resources the CRA has designed specifically for businesses.”
