Interested in advancing your career? Enrol in the 2022-2023 CCS (Certified Customs Specialist) course!

The CSCB is pleased to announce that you may now apply for the 2022-2023 CCS (Certified Customs Specialist) course.  This interactive online course emphasizes the four major customs processes in Canada: reporting, release, accounting, and payment of duties and taxes. Available in either English or French, students can study wherever there is an internet connection.

Successful completion of the CCS course grants the CCS designation, offered by the Canadian Society of Customs Brokers. CCS designates and their employers know that it is the marketplace standard – recognized and demanded by those who deliver and use customs services in Canada.

The CCS program is hosted on the Brightspace learning management platform, developed by a Canadian company and used by many learning institutions. The interactive content and instructional design make the online learning experience second to none. We’ve had some feedback about the new look and feel from course participants and people in the education and instructional design community. Here is just some of it:

“The course is excellent. It is very well structured, and it is easy to navigate through the topics in the table of contents. The information in the modules is accurate and very detailed… The quizzes are, in my opinion, important; it gives a chance to review the information that has not been properly assimilated.”

“Congratulations on designing a fantastic course!”  “Modern, professional, high-quality appearance.”

An online application, and the course policy, are available on our website at https://cscb.ca/content/ccs-course.

If you have any questions about the CCS course, please feel free to contact Angela Young at [email protected].
