Nous vous invitons à une séance d’information en ligne avec MS Teams. Au cours du webinaire, nous discuterons de la récente publication dans la Partie I de la Gazette du Canada du projet de Règlement modifiant certains règlements pris en vertu de la Loi canadienne sur la protection de l'environnement (1999). La séance aura lieu en français et en anglais le 23 février 2022 de 13 h à 16 h, heure de l’Est.
L’objectif des modifications proposées est de maintenir l’harmonisation avec les récentes modifications techniques de l’EPA des États-Unis, publiées le 29 juin 2021 et intitulées Improvements for Heavy-Duty Engine and Vehicle Test Procedures, and Other Technical Amendments (disponibles en anglais seulement), et avec d’autres dispositions de la réglementation des États-Unis.
Au cours de cette séance, nous présenterons un aperçu des modifications principales proposées aux règlements, telles que la mise à jour de définitions, du texte réglementaire et de références aux règlements sur les émissions des États-Unis relatifs aux véhicules lourds et à d’autres moteurs. Les règlements canadiens visés par les changements proposés sont les suivants :
- Le Règlement sur les émissions de gaz à effet de serre des véhicules lourds et de leurs moteurs;
- Le Règlement sur les émissions des véhicules routiers et de leurs moteurs;
- Le Règlement sur les émissions des moteurs marins à allumage commandé, des bâtiments et des véhicules récréatifs hors route.
Les modifications proposées apporteraient également des modifications au Règlement sur les émissions des moteurs hors route à allumage par compression (mobiles et fixes) et des gros moteurs à allumage commandé afin de maintenir l’harmonisation avec le règlement de l'EPA des États-Unis, notamment en ce qui concerne les définitions, l'étiquetage et les instructions d'entretien de certains gros moteurs à allumage commandé.

Webinar Invitation – Proposed Regulations Amending Certain Regulations Made Under the CEPA (1999)
We would like to invite you to a webinar via MS Teams. The purpose of this webinar is to discuss the recent publication in the Canada Gazette, Part I of the proposed Regulations Amending Certain Regulations Made Under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 (the proposed Amendments). The webinar will be offered in English and French during the same session with duplicated slides on February 23, 2022, from 1:00pm – 4:00pm EST.
The objective of the proposed Amendments is to maintain alignment with the recent U.S. EPA’s technical amendments found in the Final Rule Improvements for Heavy-Duty Engine and Vehicle Test Procedures, and Other Technical Amendments, published on June 29, 2021, and with other provisions of the U.S. emission regulations.
During this webinar, we will present an overview of the key changes that are proposed for some of the Canadian regulations to maintain alignment, such as updating definitions, regulatory text, and references to U.S. emission regulations related to heavy-duty vehicles and other engines. The following Canadian regulations are affected by the proposed changes:
- the Heavy-duty Vehicle and Engine Greenhouse Gas Emission Regulations;
- the On-Road Vehicle and Engine Emission Regulations; and
- the Marine Spark-Ignition Engine, Vessel and Off-road Recreational Vehicle Emission Regulations.
The proposed Amendments would also make modifications to the Off-road Compression-Ignition (Mobile and Stationary) and Large Spark-Ignition Engine Emission Regulations to maintain alignment with the U.S. EPA regulations, including definitions, labelling, and maintenance instructions for certain large spark-ignition engines.
