Looking for a new Regional Coordinator for British Columbia

Looking for a new challenge in a volunteer capacity? Why not consider being a Regional Coordinator for British Columbia?

Regional Coordinators coordinate CSCB activities within their region.

Your responsibilities would include:

  • leading any consultative activities with federal departments and agencies located in your region,
  • coordinating regional meetings, seminars, and other events in your region,
  • organizing of annual regional conferences (in conjunction with national office),
  • assisting members in establishing local standing committees to represent members’ interests where appropriate,
  • publicizing the annual CSCB scholarship programs,
  • facilitating communication between the regional and local committees and the national office,
  • providing the national office with meeting summaries for dissemination to all members.

There is an active regional committee in BC which assists the Coordinator with these responsibilities.

Participation in the committee awards CCS designates 10 points for every year served.

To put your name forward, you must:

  • be a CSCB member or an employee, Officer, Director, shareholder, partner or owner of a member of the Society,
  • be able to serve a 2-year term.

If interested, please complete the nomination form and return to the CSCB National no later than May 3, 2019. If multiple nominations are received, we will make the list of nominees available ahead of the May 10th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Vancouver at which time a vote will be held. In the event that only a single nomination is received, notice of acclamation will be provided in advance of the meeting.

This is a great opportunity to get to know your community and learn new skills!
