Mandatory Electronic House Bills / Connaissements internes électroniques obligatoires

The following message was received from CBSA.

“… as we transition away from period of zero-rated penalties, the CBSA will continue working with industry and industry partners throughout the summer to educate them on the Electronic House Bill requirements through bi-weekly webinars and identifying areas of non-compliance through zero rated penalties and direct outreach. 

We will move into a full implementation of requirements, including monetary penalties in the fall of 2021.

« …. pendant que nous nous éloignons de la période de sanctions à taux nul, l'ASFC continuera à travailler avec les entreprises et ses partenaires commerciaux durant tout l’été afin de les renseigner sur les exigences des connaissements internes électroniques par le biais de webinaires bimensuels et d’identifier les domaines de non-conformité au moyen de sensibilisation directe auprès des partenaires affectés et d’émission de sanctions à taux nul.

La mise en œuvre complète des exigences, y compris l’application de sanctions pécuniaires est rapportée à l'automne 2021.
