Milk Protein Substances Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ) quantities available immediately

This message is to inform industry stakeholders that quantities of tariff rate quota (TRQ) for milk protein substances (MPS) with a milk protein content of 85% or more by weight (calculated on the dry matter) that do not originate in any NAFTA country, Chile, Costa Rica, or Israel for the period of April 1, 2012 to March 31, 2013 have become available.

The quantities were made available as per the method of allocation of returns as established in Section 7 of Notice to Importers No. 812
(http://www.international.gc.ca/controls-controles/prod/agri/dairy-laitiers/notices-avis/812.aspx?lang=eng&view=d).

As of December 21, 2012, 3,763,719 kg of TRQ are available on a first-come, first-served basis until March 31, 2013.
