Notice of close of record and updated schedule: Refined sugar

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has now closed the record of the normal value review of refined sugar, refined from sugar cane or sugar beets, in granulated, liquid and powdered form (refined sugar) from the United States to Canada by United Food Group Inc. (United).

The review follows an appeal filed by an importer and is part of the CBSA’s enforcement of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal’s (CITT) order issued on August 6, 2021, respecting the dumping of refined sugar from the United States, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom and amounts of subsidy of refined sugar from the European Union, in accordance with the Special Import Measures Act (SIMA).

The updated schedule for this normal value review is now available. Interested parties will now have seven days from the close of the record to file submissions concerning this review.

Avis de clôture du dossier et mise à jour du calendrier : Sucre raffiné

L’Agence des services frontaliers du Canada (ASFC) a maintenant annoncé la clôture du dossier de la révision des valeurs normales applicable au sucre raffiné tiré de la canne à sucre ou de la betterave sucrière sous forme de granules, de liquide et de poudre (sucre raffiné), exporté des États-Unis par United Food Group Inc. (United).

Cette révision fait suite à un appel déposé par un importateur et fait partie de l’exécution par l’ASFC de l’ordonnance rendu par le Tribunal canadien du commerce extérieur (TCCE) le 6 août 2021, à l’égard de dumping du sucre raffiné des États Unis, du Danemark, d’Allemagne, des Pays Bas et du Royaume-Uni et de subventionnement du sucre raffiné originaire ou exporté de l’Union européenne, conformément à la Loi sur les mesures spéciales d’importation (LMSI).

Le calendrier de la révision est maintenant disponible. Les parties intéressées auront sept jours à partir de la clôture du dossier pour déposer des observations concernant cette révision.
