Notice to Industry: Amended inspection requirements for processed feathers/Avis à l'industrie : Modification des exigences en matière d'inspection des plumes transformées

On May 27, 2022 the Automated Import Reference System will be updated to provide additional options for inspection of imported processed feathers.

The current Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) policy is that all imported shipments of processed feathers that require inspection must be inspected at the first port of entry. As of May 27, 2022, these requirements will be amended to allow inspection either at the port of entry or inland at a bonded warehouse that is supervised by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).

Le Système automatisé de référence à l'importation sera mis à jour le 27 mai 2022 afin de fournir des options supplémentaires pour l'inspection des plumes transformées importées.

Selon la politique actuelle de l'Agence canadienne d'inspection des aliments (ACIA), toutes les expéditions importées de plumes transformées qui doivent être inspectées doivent l'être au premier port d'entrée. À compter du 27 mai 2022, ces exigences seront modifiées pour permettre l'inspection soit au port d'entrée, soit à l'intérieur des terres dans un entrepôt de stockage supervisé par l'Agence des services frontaliers du Canada (ASFC).
