By the Numbers - This Quarter at the Border

The following is excerpted from a 14 September 2012 news release by CBSA.

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) today released statistics for the first quarter of the 2012/2013 fiscal year. These numbers, covering the period of April through June 2012--represent the wide range of work done by the CBSA to prevent crime within and at our borders and abroad, by seizing inadmissible goods and denying the entry of inadmissible individuals, remove inadmissible individuals and intercept improperly documented travellers abroad, all while facilitating legitimate trade and travel.
