Official International Reserves

The following is excerpted from a 3 October 2012 news release by the Department of Finance Canada.

The Department of Finance announced today that Canada’s official international reserves increased by an amount equivalent to US$959 million during September to US$68,141 million.

Details on the level and composition of Canada’s reserves as of September 28, 2012, as well as the major factors underlying the change in reserves, are provided below.
