Health Canada has provided an information package concerning upcoming regulatory amendments to section 3(1)(f) of the Pest Control Products Regulations (PCPR), the Personal Use Import Exemption, which were published in Canada Gazette Part II in October 2017 and come into force on April 18, 2018. These amendments change the exemption requirements for the importation of unregistered pest control product(s) into Canada for personal use.
Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) is responsible for administering the Pest Control Products Act (PCPA) and Regulations (PCPR) which include requirements for the importation of pest control products into Canada, including those used by consumers.
