1. How does this year’s conference compare with last year’s on a cost-basis?
- A recent check of airfares from Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal showed many options beginning at around $500. We don’t know exactly what each delegate paid for airfare and car rental or shuttle last year but we are pretty sure that for most it was more than that. To be fair, the flying time for some of our delegates will be longer than last year but for many, it will be shorter than last year’s overall travel time.
- This year, we are offering many options including a 4 night conference package that includes accommodation, meals and drinks, and the conference program (business and social events) – all this for $1700. Most attendees would have paid $1895 plus the cost of at least 2 lunches, 2 dinners and any extra food and drink for the 2017 event. Onsite, attendees also have access to swimming pools, the beach, tennis courts and a fully equipped fitness centre. Sorry golfers but the golf tournament is extra.
- And you won’t need a car to travel from the airport to the hotel as the The Westin Puerto Vallarta Resort and Spa Hotel is conveniently located only a 10 minute taxi ride from the airport.
2. How far is the conference hotel from downtown?
If you want to travel by taxi to the core of Puerto Vallarta, the ride will most likely take from 15-20 minutes but if you’re feeling adventurous, there is always the local bus route. Another alternative is to walk 5 minutes to Marina Vallarta which has many shops, bars and restauranst. And of course, there are the yachts, sightseeing and other charter boats.
3. What topics will be discussed at this year’s conference?
