Refuse entry for import of aquatic animals from the Netherlands for dead bait / Entrée interdite des importations d'animaux aquatiques des Pays-Bas pour appâts morts

Effective immediately, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has suspended the certificate used by the Netherlands for the export of dead bait to Canada.

Importers are advised that no new permits will be issued for this commodity. However, importers that hold valid import permits and have either consignments on route and/or consignments that have been procured and were issued certificates by the Netherlands will be allowed entry to Canada.

This suspension will be in place until further notice.


Entrée interdite des importations d'animaux aquatiques des Pays-Bas pour appâts morts

L'Agence canadienne d'inspection des aliments (ACIA) suspend dès maintenant le certificat utilisé par les Pays-Bas pour l'exportation d'appâts morts vers le Canada.

Nous informons les importateurs qu'aucun nouveau permis ne sera délivré pour ce produit.  Cependant, les importateurs qui détiennent un permis d'importation valide pourront faire entrer au Canada les envois déjà acheminés et/ou les envois achetés ayant été certifiés par les Pays-Bas.

Cette suspension sera valide jusqu'à nouvel ordre.
