Rules of Origin Facilitator

The International Trade Centre and the World Customs Organization have collaborated to develop an online tool called the “Rules of Origin Facilitator”.

The purpose of the tool is to support the user in determining whether a product is covered by a preferential tariff scheme and to find the related rules of origin. The tool also addresses origin certification, cumulation, the audit trail, shipping and invoicing, and documentation requirements.

At this time, the tool does not include all existing trade agreements but it does include more than 70 agreements applied by 85 countries as well as the non-preferential regimes of the European Union, the USA and Switzerland.
