Seeking stakeholder input for Canada's Seeds Regulations modernization initiative

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is seeking stakeholder input on a needs assessment survey for Canada's Seeds Regulations modernization initiative, a multi-year, structured and comprehensive review of Canada's seed and seed potato system. The goals of the modernization initiative are to reduce the complexity of existing requirements while keeping pace with our fast-changing world.

As a first step in this modernization initiative, we are seeking feedback to identify seed (including seed potato) stakeholder needs. Your participation will provide an important perspective. It's important to hear from everyone with an interest in the Seeds Regulations – farmers, developers, seed dealers, associations, and others.

Learn more and participate in the survey by March 15, 2021.
