Single Window IID involving GIP 81

The CBSA has issued a reminder, when entering a Single Window, Integrated Import Declaration (IID), release service option 911 for shipments containing specialty steel (regulated by Global Affairs Canada), the licence, certificate, permit or other relevant document (LPCO) must be entered as document type 2006 and then the GIP type.

For example, a transaction of goods that contains specialty steel will need to have a “2006” document type for the General Import Permit (GIP) 81.  Example: DOC+916:2006+GIP81.
