Special Message from the WCO to Customs Brokers

How are you feeling about being a customs broker these days? Do you feel appreciated by customers and the CBSA for all you do to facilitate trade?

Take a few minutes to listen to the following message from Dr. Kunio Mikuriya, Secretary General of the World Customs Organization, about the importance of business to customs administrations and the value of customs brokers around the world. Dr. Mikuriya delivered this message on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the International Federation of Customs Brokers Associations (IFCBA). The IFCBA enjoyed a successful conference in Singapore where it was founded over 30 years ago, inspired by the vision of a Canadian, our late friend and leader Barry Davidson, along with his Australian friend, the late Athol Flynn.  History is important, continuity is important and integrity is important to organizations and relationships, and the CSCB is proud to have contributed all these things to the IFCBA in its role as Secretariat over the years.

We share Dr. Mikuriya’s best wishes to supporters of the IFCBA in the years ahead.
