The following is excerpted from a survey by EDC.
Conducted twice a year since 1999, the Trade Confidence Index (TCI) is a pulse check of Canadian exporters’ level of confidence and their projections around international trade opportunities in the next six months. It is a composite score based on responses to questions related to five elements:
- domestic sales;
- export sales;
- domestic economic conditions;
- world economic conditions; and
- international business opportunities.
