Streamlining the pre-clearance review of meat inspection certificates from the United States

CIFA has contacted the CSCB and asked that we ensure members are aware of the changes regarding the process for importing meat from the U.S. CFIA is streamlining the current two-step process for importing U.S. meat and meat products into Canada and this initiative is intended to provide consistency for import processes of meat and most other food commodities.

The CSCB has sent messages previously to members regarding these changes, and complete information is available on CFIA’s website.
