Summer Pause - CARM Technical Working Group sessions

Please see below notice from the CBSA CARM Team.  If you have any recommendations for improvements to the Technical Q&A Process please send a note to CARM engagement with copy to me at [email protected]

“We have been holding regular Technical Working Group sessions to review and discuss technical topics and questions and answers. These sessions have been valuable for both industry and the CBSA, as we prepare together for CARM Release 2.

We are recommending taking a pause on our Technical Working Group sessions for the remainder of the summer – where we will use this time to dive deeper into technical content and prepare for an updated version of the ECCRD.

An updated Electronic Commerce Client Requirements Document (ECCRD) will capture clarifications discussed through the Technical Working Group Sessions as well as other additional clarifications to help with your system development.

We plan to host a 2-day working session with industry to review the upcoming clarifications in the ECCRD. This working session is tentatively scheduled for this Fall; we will send a “save the date” calendar invite once the date is confirmed.

We will also continue to publish the Technical Q&A Log on a bi-weekly basis, on the CARM Google Drive. We are working on improvements to the Technical Q&A Log and the overall process. Please email the CARM Engagement mailbox with any ideas for improvement or to share with us how your team uses this file so that we can make meaningful improvements.

Thank you for your continued engagement in CARM and let us know with any questions.

Sincerely,
CARM Engagement
