Surtax Remission Period – Update

September 6, 2019

As indicated in a message sent on June 18, 2019, the CSCB has made representations to the Department of Finance voicing our dissatisfaction with Finance’s decision to no longer consider requests for a remission of surtax.

The CSCB was disappointed to learn that the Department of Finance does not intend to reopen the remission application period. We believe that this is unfair and we will continue to pursue this issue.
