Tariff Rate Quotas (TRQ) for Certain Steel Goods

This message pertains to imports of certain steel goods as listed in the Order Imposing a Surtax on the Importation of Certain Steel Goods.

The purpose of this message is to inform importers that they must now apply for shipment-specific permits for energy tubular goods with the Harmonized System (HS) codes as included in the Schedule to the Customs Tariff that came into force on January 1, 2019. The relevant codes may also be found on the Global Affairs website at: https://www.international.gc.ca/controls-controles/report-rapports/list_liste/handbook-manuel/steel_handbook_energy_tubulars-manuel_acier_tubes_energie.aspx?lang=eng
