Tribunal Finds Injury—Certain Mattresses from China

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal today found that the dumping and subsidizing of certain mattresses originating in or exported from People’s Republic of China (excluding those goods exported to Canada by the exporters mentioned in the finding) have caused injury to the domestic industry. Anti-dumping and countervailing duties will therefore be collected by the Canada Border Services Agency. The complainants in this case were Restwell Mattress Co. Ltd., of Surrey, British Columbia, and the United Steelworkers, of Toronto, Ontario.

The Tribunal will issue the reasons for its finding on November 21, 2022.
