Two-port Processing – eManifest (2)

This message is further to an earlier message regarding two-port processing, and addresses the issue of Y50s issued to brokers when cargo report data does not match PARS data, pre-arrival.

Members have asked if there is a mechanism by which CBSA can also advise the carrier when a match does not occur and a Y50 is issued to a broker. The CSCB has addressed this issue with CBSA and will keep members advised of any progress made.

In the scenario outlined above, there is no need to bring specific transaction numbers regarding this issue to the CSCB, and we apologize for any confusion resulting from our previous message.

However, when a carrier reports at a port that is different from the port of destination indicated on the cargo report and the PARS, Border Services Officers (BSOs) have been instructed to change both the port of report on the cargo report and the port of release on the PARS.  In situations where a BSO does not follow this process, please send the transaction numbers to the CSCB ([email protected]) for follow-up.
