On April 1, 2020, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency will be changing the requirements for import of salted and preserved eggs, including "100 year old eggs", from all countries of origin. The Automated Import Reference System (AIRS) will be updated to reflect the changes required to the wording of the zoosanitary export certificate accompanying the shipment, and to indicate that CFIA inspection at import is no longer required.
Canadian importers of these commodities are advised to contact the exporters in the country of origin to advise of the changes and arrange for updated certification. Shipments accompanied by zoosanitary export certificates with the previous wording will be accepted until June 1, 2020.

Mise à jour les exigences relatives à l'importation d'œufs salés et en conserve
À partir du 1er avril 2020, l'Agence canadienne d'inspection des aliments modifiera les exigences relatives à l'importation d'œufs salés et en conserve, y compris les « œufs de 100 ans », de tous les pays d'origine. Le Système automatisé de référence à l'importation (SARI) sera mis à jour pour refléter les changements requis au libellé du certificat zoosanitaire d'exportation accompagnant l'envoi et pour indiquer que l'inspection de l'ACIA à l'importation n'est plus requise.
Les importateurs canadiens de ces produits sont invités à communiquer avec les exportateurs du pays d'origine pour les informer des changements et prendre des dispositions pour une certification mise à jour. Les envois accompagnés de certificats zoosanitaires d'exportation avec le libellé précédent seront acceptés jusqu'au 1er juin 2020.
