UPDATE: Modernization of the Automated Import Reference System (AIRS)

Please be advised that the modernized version of the Automated Import Reference System (AIRS) website was not released on Tuesday July 30, 2013 as previously scheduled [and announced on July 17].

CFIA will advise of the new release date once confirmed.
 
The following changes will be made to make the AIRS website compliant with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
 
- An updated look and feel;
- Making the AIRS website WCAG Compliant for accessibility screen readers; 
- The addition of various features and tools to enhance overall user experience;
- Link to User Guide and to register for update emails now more user accessible; and
- Will reflect more logical workflows to application functions for users.
 
Information sessions were offered to clients in both official languages to provide an overview of the improvements to the AIRS website, as well as to gather user comments prior to the official release.
 
Clients will experience only limited changes to the usability of the application as a result of the modifications.
