Updates to the CFIA Fish List

Please be advised that the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has added or modified the common names for the following fish species within the CFIA Fish List:

Arapaima gigas
Bathyraja interrupta
Beringraja binoculata
Chaceon affinis
Chloroscombrus orqueta
Engraulis anchoita
Oratosquilla oratoria
Paranthias colonus
Raja rhina
Sebastes auriculatus
Sebastes ciliatus
Sebastes elongatus
Sebastes helvomaculatus
Sebastes nigrocinctus

Please also note that:
  1. fish species Raja Binoculata has been updated to Beringraja binoculata (New TSN: 160845)  
  2. the risk group “Subject to histamine” has been removed from all species of the Serranidae family
