Vancouver port truckers' strike over after deal reached

Container truck drivers who service Canada's largest port have a reached a deal to end a prolonged strike that officials said threatened the country's economy.

Late Wednesday afternoon, B.C. Premier Christy Clark announced an agreement was reached between the members of the United Truckers Association and Unifor and the province, the federal government and Port Metro Vancouver.

She said the truckers will be back at work and Metro Vancouver's port will be open for business Thursday morning.
