CFIA End Use Codes

This is to advise you that future CFIA End Uses [codes] will be assigned a three digit (numeric character). Existing End Uses will retain their assigned two digits. [All previously created End Use codes will remain two digits in length. No leading '0' will be added.] Please note that the EDI message format will not be affected by this change.

Update to CFIA AIRS Website

Chapter 44 was published to change the release recommendation from "Refer to CFIA-ISC" to "Approved" for the following HS Codes for all origins except the Continental United States.

Three-Digit End Use Codes and NAAHP

CFIA has announced End Use codes will soon include three-digit codes. Currently, CFIA has nearly 99 different End Use codes in AIRS. With the implementation of the National Aquatic Animal Health Program (NAAHP), there will be a need to create additional end use codes to meet the program requirements.
