Once again, the CSCB received many outstanding scholarship application packages from candidates across the country. The CSCB Scholarship Committee had a difficult decision to make in light of the many exceptionally talented young adults who put their names forward.

The CSCB Scholarship Committee is pleased to announce the winners of the CSCB Guy Graveline Scholarship, the CSCB National Scholarship, and our newest scholarship for students who are already engaged in pursuing their post secondary studies for 2021.

Haydon Quach, son of Charlotte Truong of Livingston International (Toronto) has been awarded the Guy Graveline Scholarship.  Haydon has made the honour roll throughout high school, while participating in the track and field team and volunteering at the Bridgepoint Hospital.  His volunteer experience shaped his future career aspirations, and Haydon will be studying biology at York University with a desire to continue onto medical school.   “I truly feel so grateful to receive this scholarship and I want to thank you all so much! My family and I were very delighted to hear that I won!”

Brianna Gusikoski, daughter of Michelle Gusikoski of Percy H. Davis (North Portal) has been awarded the CSCB National Scholarship. Brianna has maintained honour roll status through out high school, and participated on the cheer team, winning provincial honours twice.  Brianna has volunteered with peer mentoring, Special Olympics and completed several Red Cross programs for lifeguarding.  Brianna intends to attend the Medicine Hat College to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse. “! I am very grateful to be one of the chosen, and can't wait to put this towards funding my tuition and residence fees.”

Shawn Robley, step-daughter of Sonja Rusnjak of Cole International (Calgary) has been awarded the scholarship for students who are already engaged in pursuing their post secondary studies. Shawn is entering her fourth and final year of nursing at the University of Calgary, where she has made the Deans List for the past two years.  Shawn has volunteered at children’s summer camps, but this year she worked as a undergraduate nurse administering COVID 19 vaccines in Calgary.  “Thank you so much!”

Congratulations to Haydon, Brianna and Shawn! The CSCB is proud to play a part in your ongoing education.
