Alternate Energy Efficiency Verification Scheme for Battery Chargers

In support of the proposal to introduce regulatory requirements for battery chargers in Amendment 13 to Canada’s Energy Efficiency Regulations, NRCan has developed an alternate energy efficiency verification scheme for battery chargers. This scheme was developed in consultation with certification bodies and the Standards Council of Canada. The purpose of this scheme is to provide a cost effective approach to third-party verification that supports the integrity of NRCan’s compliance system.

This scheme is available for use by certification bodies accredited by the Standards Council of Canada for energy efficiency verification of battery chargers.
