The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has renegotiated the certificate for the export of pet food to Indonesia (HA2722). Ingredients of bovine, ovine, caprine and cervid origin, including those from Canada, may now be included in pet food exported to this country.
The certificate is, or will soon be, available through your local CFIA office. The implementation date for the new certificate is April 11, 2026. A transition period will remain in effect until April 10, 2026, during which both the previous and the new versions of the certificate can be endorsed. As of April 11, 2026, only the new version must be used.
The Guideline for preparing export certificates for the Canadian pet food industry will be updated shortly to reflect this change.

Certificat amendé pour l’exportation d’aliments pour animaux de compagnie vers l’Indonésie
L’Agence canadienne d’inspection des aliments (ACIA) a renégocié le certificat d’exportation de nourriture pour animaux de compagnie vers l’Indonésie (HA2722). Les ingrédients d’origine bovine, caprine, ovine et de cervidés, incluant ceux du Canada peuvent désormais être inclus dans la nourriture pour animaux de compagnie exportée vers ce pays.
Le certificat est, ou sera bientôt disponible en communiquant avec votre bureau local de l’ACIA. La date de mise en œuvre du nouveau certificat est le 11 avril 2026. Une période de transition sera en vigueur jusqu’au 10 avril 2026, durant laquelle l’ancienne et la nouvelle version du certificat pourront être signées. À partir du 11 avril 2026, seule la nouvelle version du certificat devra être utilisée.
Les Lignes directrices pour la préparation de certificats d'exportation par l'industrie Canadienne des aliments pour animaux de compagnie seront mises à jour prochainement afin de refléter ce changement.
