Amended certificates for the export of fish and seafood to China

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has amended the following certificate templates for the export of fish and seafood for human consumption to China:

  • Health Certificate for Fishery products intended for export from Canada to the People’s Republic of China (CFIA/ACIA 5328)
  • Origin and Hygiene Certificate for live fish intended for export for human consumption from Canada to the People’s Republic of China (CFIA/ACIA 5584)

The new versions of these certificates are to be used for any shipments departing from Canada on or after July 1st, 2024.

Exporters who participate in the Partially Completed Certificates Protocol are reminded to contact their local CFIA office in order to obtain the new certificate templates for use on or after the implementation date.

Exporters are encouraged to review the China (People's Republic of) – Export requirements for fish and seafood – inspection.canada.ca webpage to obtain up-to-date information prior to the export of products to China.

Certificats modifiés pour l’exportation de poissons et fruits de mer vers la Chine

L’Agence canadienne d’inspection des aliments (ACIA) a modifié les modèles de certificat suivants pour l’exportation de poissons et de fruits de mer destinés à la consommation humaine vers la Chine :

  • Certificat sanitaire pour les produits du poisson destinés pour l’exportation du Canada vers la République populaire de Chine (CFIA/ACIA 5328)
  • Certificat d’origine et d’hygiène relatif aux poissons vivants provenant du Canada et destinés à être exportés vers la République populaire de Chine aux fins de consommation humaine (CFIA/ACIA 5584)

La nouvelle version des certificats doit être utilisée pour toute expédition partant du Canada à compter du 1er juillet 2024.

On rappelle aux exportateurs qui participent au protocole de certificat partiellement rempli de communiquer avec leur bureau local de l’ACIA et d’obtenir les nouveaux modèles de certificat à utiliser à partir de la date de mise en œuvre.

Les exportateurs sont encouragés à consulter la page Web du Chine (République populaire de) – Exigences d'exportation pour le poisson et les produits de la mer – inspection.canada.ca afin d’obtenir des informations à jour avant l’exportation de leurs produits vers la Chine.
