UPDATED: Canada launches public consultations on measures to strengthen Canada’s fight against forced labour in global supply chains

Today, the Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Jobs and Families and Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario, announced the launch of public consultations to strengthen Canada’s response to forced labour in global supply chains.

The consultations will remain open from July 27 to August 21, 2026 on the Consulting with Canadians platform. Canadians are encouraged to share their perspectives and expertise to help strengthen Canada’s response to forced labour in global trade.
