Canada-Pakistan Joint Statement: Reaffirming strong and enduring ties

Canada and Pakistan have reaffirmed their mutual commitment to strengthening bilateral ties, expressing strong interest in expanding cooperation on energy security and critical minerals, with recognition of Canadian companies’ growing role in supporting Pakistan’s mineral development and clean energy ambitions. Looking ahead to the 6th round of bilateral consultations, both sides emphasized its importance as a platform to advance shared priorities, deepen government and private sector connections, and explore new strategic opportunities.

Additionally, Canada and Pakistan reached an agreement to support the export of Canadian canola to Pakistan, acknowledging the promising growth of Pakistan’s market and its increasing demand for this valuable Canadian agricultural product.
