CARM Bulletin 5405: Incorrect Financial Posting of Commercial Accounting Declarations Appearing on the August SOA

This bulletin is to inform importers, customs brokers, trade consultants and service providers that corrections and adjustments submitted in CARM between August 3 and August 13, 2025 may show an incorrect financial posting on an importer’s Statement of Account (SOA) for the month of August. An update to CARM was deployed on August 14, 2025 that resolved the system error, however corrections and adjustments in certain scenarios that were processed between August 3 and August 13 are appearing incorrectly on importer accounts.

The CBSA has isolated the affected transactions and identified the importers that are impacted by this issue. The CBSA will be communicating with those impacted before the upcoming payment deadline of August 29, 2025 to advise on the way forward.
