CARM Bulletin 5405 Updated: Incorrect Financial Posting of CAD Appearing on the August SOA

This bulletin is to inform importers, customs brokers, trade consultants and service providers that corrections and adjustments submitted in CARM between August 3 and August 13, 2025 may show an incorrect financial posting on an importer’s Statement of Account (SOA) for the month of August. An update to CARM was deployed on August 14, 2025 that resolved the system error, however corrections and adjustments in certain scenarios that were processed between August 3 and August 13 are appearing incorrectly on some importer accounts.

The CBSA has isolated the affected transactions and identified the importers that are impacted by this issue and has sent them a notification in CARM, which can be found within the importer’s account in the notification centre. Importers are encouraged to review their accounts to view the corrections.

The CBSA has taken the additional measure of deferring the payment timeframe for importer accounts with impacted transactions by a month, meaning that impacted importers may pay their August 2025 statement of account (in part or in whole) by October 1, 2025.

Additional details will be provided as soon as they are available, importers may contact the CBSA by sending an email to [email protected] and adding “Bulletin 5405” as a subject line or contact the CBSA by webform on our contact us selecting the "Financial account activities" option and referring to Bulletin 5405.
