CBSA amends CN 26-14 to clarify packaging for Certain Canned Goods Surtax Order

In response to CSCB requests for clarification (Clarification for the Certain Canned Vegetable Goods Surtax Order | CSCB National Office; members only access), the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has amended Customs Notice 26-14 (Customs Notice 26-14: Certain Canned Vegetable Goods Surtax Order) to specify that the order applies only to specified vegetable goods packaged in metal cans. Paragraph 10 of the CN states that the Order does not apply to listed vegetables packaged in non-metal containers, such as glass.
