CBSA to Correct Memorandum D21-3-1 Goods Imported by Designated Foreign Countries, Military Service Agencies and Institutions - Tariff Item No. 9810.00.00

Recently, Memorandum D21-3-1 Goods Imported by Designated Foreign Countries, Military Service Agencies and Institutions - Tariff Item No. 9810.00.00 was updated by the CBSA and published on September 9, 2024. One of our members pointed out a possible omission in the list of applicable countries and asked that we reach out to the CBSA confirm.

This morning, CBSA advised there was an unintentional omission and assured us that the fix would be implemented as soon as possible. They confirmed: “there is no change in CBSA policy or in the Visiting Forces Act, we will update the list of applicable countries and have it published ASAP. As our publishing area is currently in the midst of preparing for CARM there may be a slight delay in the updating of the D21-3-1 on the CBSA website.”
