CBSA investigation leads to 5 year prison sentence for Nanaimo resident

After a lengthy investigation, beginning in 2022 with CBSA border services officers at Vancouver International Airport Air Cargo Operations intercepting three firearm suppressors, a resident of British Columbia has pleaded guilty to possession for the purpose of trafficking and the unauthorized possession of a loaded prohibited firearm. They were sentenced to five years imprisonment (less time served) along with a lifetime firearm prohibition and ordered to provide a DNA sample.
