CBSA investigation into prohibited devices leads to charges against residents of Laval and Saint-Eustache

In April 2024, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) began an investigation after CBSA officers intercepted packages at the International Mail Processing Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. 

As a result of this investigation two Quebec residents have been charged with importing prohibited devices under the Customs Act and the Criminal Code, as well as conspiracy under the Criminal Code and will appear in court tomorrow, June 19, 2025, to face 17 charges.
