The CBSA launches investigations into the alleged dumping and subsidizing of thermal paper rolls from China

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is initiating investigations to determine whether thermal paper rolls from China are being sold at unfair prices (dumping) and/or subsidized based on a complaint filed by McDermid Paper Converters Limited, Media Cash Register Inc., and Custom Paper Ltd. The CBSA will make a preliminary decision by September 10, 2025.

At the same time, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) will begin their preliminary inquiry and will issue a decision by August 11, 2025.
